Fall is here and the con hallways have started to turn into runways! Turn heads by letting your gear do the talking for you. Just because you’re a nerd, doesn’t mean that you have to dress poorly or cannot level yourself up! One of the easiest ways to make a fit uniquely yours is through the use of accessories. You can easily go from “nice outfit” to “that’s a whole vibe” with just a bit of secret sauce.
Below are 24 of our favorite Blerd accessories that we recommend. These will help keep your crown protected, your hands free, your style loud, and let others know you’re a part of the Blerd community. Most are available in The Blerd Shop, but I sprinkled in a few Blerd community-made pieces we love too so that you can support other creators directly:
Why this matters: There are plenty of Black nerd creators that need your support. Often, accessories provide greater margins for Black brand owners to help make their businesses more sustainable. Without support, these businesses will not continue to flourish and representation in the space decreases.

1) The Official Blerd Camo Durag
One of our most popular accessories over the years is The Blerd Camo Durag. When asked “Why Blerd, Why Not Just A Nerd“, part of that response is the hair. It’s represented in our logo. Protecting your crown whether its in an everyday streetwear fit or cosplay is important. Creating products that resonate with the intersection of Black + Nerd culture is an essential part of the Blerd DNA. The Blerd Camo Durag is an inexpensive way to let them know, I’m not just a nerd, but a Blerd.

2) The Blerd Bonnet
Blerd released The Blerd Bonnet 2 years ago and it was also one of our hottest selling items. The Blerd Bonnet is fully reversible. It has the classic Blerd Camo pattern on one side. We got feedback directly from women on our team while designing this product, making sure that we implemented features like wrappable straps so it’s comfy to wear while sleeping or on the go.
